About the Test

PTE Academic is tested via computer and headset in a single 2 hour and 15 minute session and aims to assess the real-life academic English ability of a candidate. 

There are twenty different question format including multiple choice, essay writing and interpreting information. Audio and visual components will integrated into test questions such as lecture excerpts and graphs.

What is the PTE Academic test fee?

PTE Academic in New Zealand is NZ$385.  For late bookings (within 48 hours of the test date) the fee is NZ$481.25

PTE Academic scores are accepted by key universities in New Zealand including the University of Auckland. The New Zealand government also accepts PTE Academic scores for visa purposes.
